THE STORY ON FAHSAI’s GLASSES
We have been receiving numerous messages asking about Fahsai’s wearing glasses in the Miss Universe activities thus, we are issuing this statement to shed light on queries and concerns.
Fahsai is wearing glasses since her arrival in Atlanta not as part of her styling, which has been called out as poor styling, but rather due to Corneal Abrasion.
A corneal abrasion is a scratch on the clear, protective "window" at the front of an eye (cornea). It is a medical condition that is accompanied by pain, gritty feeling in the eye, tearing, sensitivity to light and intermittent headache.
It was during MUT's pageant proper when Fahsai had this unfortunate incident. The contact lens on her right eye got stuck and she had to be brought to the hospital immediately to have it removed. The doctor advised her not to wear contact lens on that particular eye to avoid further damage on her right cornea. That is why the MUT org allowed her to wear glasses during the pre-pageant events. The fighter that she is, during the prelims and finals, she was wearing contact lens only on her left eye so she was half-blind that time since her eye vision is too high without glasses or contacts.
We hope this sheds light on the matter and we seek your indulgence and continuous support and love to our Queen Fahsai who is really doing her very best to represent Thailand despite this condition.
Fahsai is undergoing treatment and there is nothing to worry about. She is in good condition and fit to be your Miss Universe 2019!
